Clair A. Volk, Owner and President

Clair and his wife Kathleen opened their own insurance agency in 1987 specializing in employee benefits, later partnering with Clair's brother Lowell Volk and John Bell to form Volk & Bell Benefits, LLC. Clair currently is a board member of Longmont United Hospital and past board member of the OUR Center, Life Choices Pregnancy Center and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). In addition, Clair is active with FCCI/Christ@Work, a ministry for business owners and leaders.

Ryan E. Volk, Director Group Benefits

Ryan joined our team in March of 2001 and he now heads up our Small Group and Individual Divisions. Ryan and his team work with individuals and families and consults with employers ranging in size from 1 to 100 employees on their health insurance needs. Ryan is a current member of the Front Range Association of Health Underwriters and has held the position of President and Treasurer. He is also a member of the Longmont Chamber Ambassador program. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Ryan for Resourcefulness, Determination and Thoroughness.

Matthew D. Anderson, Director Group Benefits

Matthew joined Volk & Bell in May of 2007 as a Group Benefits Consultant and was soon promoted to Director of our Large Group Division. He and his team work with employers ranging in size from 30 employees to over 300 employees. Matt began his career in insurance with a national carrier that gave him experience with both large and small groups specializing in group employee benefits. He currently holds the position of Education Chair with the Front Range Association of Health Underwriters and is a member of the Longmont Chamber of Commerce. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Matt for Patience, Joyfulness and Endurance.

Kaye Pyle, Group Benefits Consultant

Kaye services primarily those groups of 50 to over 400 employees in Colorado’s large group market. Kaye's industry experience began with Clair and Kathleen Volk's insurance agency in August of 1994, and she remained with the Volks as the agency grew, becoming Volk & Bell Benefits, LLC in 2006. Kaye is an active member of the Front Range Association of Health Underwriters and the Boulder Area Human Resource Association. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Kaye for Self-Control, Diligence and Wisdom.

Judy R. Eccher, Group Benefits Consultant

Judy joined Volk & Bell in January of 2004. She specializes in consulting small employers with their health insurance needs and is our expert for Colorado's "Business Groups of One." Her experience includes health and property & casualty insurance contracting as well as life and health sales and service. Judy has served in leadership, teaching and worship with her church and has completed advanced training with Exchanged Life Ministries. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Judy for Joyfulness, Compassion and Generosity.

Claudia K. Maciuk, Group Benefits Consultant

Claudia joined our team in August of 2000. She works with employer groups that range in size from 2 to 100 employees. Claudia began her career in insurance with a national carrier and several other group benefits corporations. She has served on the board of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce and is a current member of the Longmont Area Economic Council. She was the founder and first president of Colorado Managed Care Contractors and is a charter/founding member of the Front Range Association of Health Underwriters. She is also Past-President of the Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Claudia for Loyalty and Virtue.

Aaron L. Salas, Group Benefits Consultant

Aaron joined the Volk and Bell team in June of 2008. He works in our small group department where he provides his clients with everything from benefit plan consultation, claims and billing issue resolution to conducting benefit renewal meetings for employees. His insurance experience started with a national property & casualty carrier, and he is currently an active member of the Boulder Area Human Resource Association. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Aaron for Enthusiasm, Patience and Gentleness.

Linda A. Rose, Account Manager

Linda's industry experience began with Clair and Kathleen Volk's insurance agency over 10 years ago, and her role has evolved through the years as she remained with the agency. Linda currently works with the large group market and assists with client customer service, benefit plan renewals, new plan set-up and employe claims issues. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Linda for Endurance, Determination and Sincerity.

Cynthia H. Kirk, Office Administrator

Cindy joined Volk & Bell in April of 2005 after 10 years of being a stay-at-home mom and volunteering in the community. Prior to that, she worked for many years as an executive secretary in the banking industry. Along with supporting the Volk & Bell staff with their day-to-day activities, Cindy leads our Human Resources responsibilities. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Cindy for Decisiveness and Punctuality.

Amy M. Essig, Marketing & Education Coordinator

Amy joined our team in January of 2006 as an Account Manager. Now she leads the agency’s marketing strategy, coordinates seminars, our community involvement and educational activities for our staff and clients. Prior to joining Volk & Bell, Amy worked in Human Resources for 5 years. Through the Character First program, we have most recently recognized Amy for Enthusiasm, Sincerity and Creativity.
